One United States international stepped off the bench for the Bianconeri to find the target in spectacular style during a 6-1 Coppa Italia win over Salernitana. Weah crashed home a stunning effort in stoppage-time time to wrap up a resounding success.

McKennie spent the evening stuck on the bench, with Massimiliano Allegri opting against handing him more minutes. The 25-year-old midfielder was, however, still able to spend time on the field as he made a point of celebrating with his international colleague.

McKennie was on hand to offer Weah a celebratory hug after seeing him hit the back of the net, with the USMNT stars enjoying productive 2023-24 campaigns on collective and individual levels. They became club colleagues in the summer of 2023 when Weah moved to Italy and McKennie returned to Turin from a difficult loan spell at Leeds.
